Oléron Bridge (Pont Oléron) is a cantilever girder bridge connecting Western French Coast and Oléron Island. With a length of 2,862 meters between the abutments, it was the longest bridge in France when completed on March 19, 1966. The bridge comprises 4 main spans, 80 meters long each, and some other spans between 40 and 80 meters. At first it was a toll bridge, and then became toll-free in 1991.
